30,000 Total Square Feet of New and Renovated Spaceto Enhance Business Efficiances
DEL RIO, TX (December 16, 2011) – At a ribbon cutting ceremony this Thursday, December 15, Silver Eagle Distributors, the nation's largest Anheuser-Busch distributor and one of the largest Grupo Modelo distributors in the country, announced the completion of a nine-month renovation project at its Del Rio, Texas facility. More than $2.3 million dollars were invested into the location, where a total of 19,500 square feet of the existing facility has been renovated, while an additional 10,600 square feet of new space was added.
"At Silver Eagle, customer service is our utmost priority, and it is this priority that led us to invest in the renovations of our Del Rio facility, so that we can ensure the highest and most efficient quality of service to this community," announced John L. Nau, president and CEO, Silver Eagle Distributors, during Thursday's ceremony. Continuing, he stated "We value the residents and businesses in Del Rio, and recognize that investing in the community can play a critical role in the overall economic and community development which ultimately encourages local revitalization, infrastructure improvement, and business and job creation."
Key areas of the updated facility include: the creation of a Control Environment Warehouse and Keg Vault, which allow additional storage capacity for both packaged and draught beer; a new open-concept sales area that will enhance efficiency and work flow among Silver Eagle's sales team; and a newly designed hospitality room to host local on-site corporate and community events. Additional updates include a new fleet maintenance area, and a work-out facility for Silver Eagle employees.
"The completion of these renovations offers an opportunity for the Del Rio Chamber of Commerce to acknowledge and applaud the significant economic impact Silver Eagle's success brings to our community," stated Tony Hernandez, president, Del Rio Chamber of Commerce.
"Since the beginning of this project, Silver Eagle has brought job opportunities that encompassed everything from construction all the way to operations. On top of jobs, this facility is going to contribute greatly to the property tax revenue, which helps grow our abilities to reinvest in our streets, parks and overall quality of life."
Serving Del Rio, Eagle Pass and surrounding areas, the Del Rio facility continues Silver Eagle's commitment to the communities in which we live and work. Silver Eagle-Del Rio contributed to more than 20 local charitable organizations in 2011, and is a member of the Del Rio Greater Chamber of Commerce, the Del Rio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Eagle Pass Greater Chamber of Commerce. The facility also works collectively with the corporate office and Anheuser-Busch to proactively develop and implement more than two dozen community-based alcohol awareness and education programs.
Partners in the renovation of the Del Rio facility include Chesney Morales Architects/Planners & Associates, Inc, as the architect of record, and Kopplow Construction as the general contractor. Both companies have also worked with Silver Eagle recently on renovations to its San Antonio facility. Additional partners include MLC Landscaping, who fully irrigated and landscaped the entire facility with draught-tolerant plants, and Lewis Signs out of Buda, TX, who manufactured all the exterior signage for the building.
